ABOUT THE CREATOR
Hi! My name’s Gabriel and I’m a 31 year old born on the Central Coast of California. As a disabled individual, my life has been a whirlwind of doctors.. surgeries.. medications.. you name it. I’ve seen at least 150 doctors in my life and I’ve had over 100 surgeries. I was constantly told growing up that I’d never live a fulfilling life. I grew up cherishing every single moment because I was constantly unsure if it would be my last. I’ve had more than my fair share of dark days, with plenty of pain to accompany them. I know what it’s like to be kicked down, rejected, even harassed simply because you’re born different. I’m all too familiar with the experience of being forgotten about or pushed aside- not only within America’s medical system, but in society as a whole.
Over the course of my life, I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that true, genuine happiness comes from within. I’ve seen myself in thousands of shitty situations with my health- but nothing could ever take away my own sense of happiness. My happiness in itself is a protest against the numerous times I was told I didn’t deserve to live, I’d never have a fulfilling life, or that I would never find love. I’ve created a life and style of my own at 31, despite being told I wouldn’t live to see 20.
I created this brand as a physical manifestation of my own personal life message, that happiness exists even in the darkest corners, and those that are forgotten about deserve to be seen and truly heard. By sharing these designs, I want those who choose to wear them be reminded that they are truly worthy of happiness, regardless of gender, race, or physical/mental illness. Inspired by the iconic Sepulveda Blvd (my last name), I decided on Gabriel Blvd. Co. to create a ‘location’ where those who aren’t seen or heard can come to be acknowledged.
On Gabriel Blvd., all are welcome, all are valid, and we believe in one simple motto:
Be Human. Have Drip. Be Happy.
